The verdict

Comfort and quiet are home turf for both, so the tiebreakers are ecosystem and endurance. The AirPods Pro 3 are the stronger value at $249: class-competitive ANC, IP57 dust and water resistance, instant pairing and switching across Apple devices, and health features (heart-rate tracking, the FDA-authorized hearing-aid mode) Bose cannot answer. The QuietComfort Ultra Earbuds counter where Bose always has: the most comfortable, most secure fit in the class, noise cancellation measured co-best with anything on the market, the group's best spatial audio in Immersive Audio with Cinema mode, and aptX Adaptive for Android listeners. Against that, they cost $299, run the shortest battery here, and make do with a basic 3-band EQ. The decision tree is short. iPhone, or features-per-dollar shopper: take the AirPods. Marathon listening sessions, an Android phone, or ears that reject every other fit: take the Bose.
