The verdict
This matchup is value versus convenience. The FlexiSpot E7 is the better hardware deal by a wide margin: around $369 complete buys a 355 lb capacity (vs the Vari’s 200 lbs), a lower minimum height for short users, and the same 15-year warranty class — for less than half the Vari’s ~$829.
