The verdict

Value against convenience, and the gap is wide. Around $369 complete, the FlexiSpot E7 is the better hardware deal by a distance: 355 lbs of capacity to the Vari's 200, a lower minimum height that suits shorter users, and 15-year warranty coverage, at less than half the Vari's roughly $829. What the Vari Electric sells is the experience around the hardware: a patented quick-attach frame standing in about 10 to 15 minutes (the E7 is a two-person, roughly 45 to 60 minute job), a laminate top that feels a notch more premium, and a lifetime warranty that edges even FlexiSpot's 15 years. Both wobble a little at full height on their T-frames. Take the E7 for the most desk and capacity per dollar; take the Vari only if tool-free assembly and lifetime coverage are worth paying more than double.
